Julia Sunay is a New York City–based Maestra and Music Director with a career spanning more than two decades as a pianist, vocal coach, and educator. Known for her versatility and collaborative spirit, she has worked extensively with pit orchestras, singers, dancers, and instrumentalists across a wide range of musical genres and performance settings.

 

Julia was Music Director for the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys and Associate Music Director for the first U.S. National Tour of An Officer and a Gentleman (2021–2022). Most recently, she was Associate Conductor and Music Director for Beetlejuice the Musical on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (2025–2026).

 

In late 2025, Julia joined the Broadway production of All Out: Comedy About Ambition, directed by Alex Timbers, as a rehearsal pianist. In 2026, she was Associate Conductor and Music Director for the Off-Broadway production of Gotta Dance at Stage 42. She also subs on the Broadway production of Schmigadoon! and works regularly as an audition supervisor and pianist throughout New York City.
