Julia Sunay is a New York City–based Maestra and Music Director with a career spanning more than two decades as a pianist, vocal coach, and educator. Known for her versatility and collaborative spirit, she has worked extensively with pit orchestras, singers, dancers and instrumentalists across a wide range of musical genres and performance settings.

 

Julia previously served as Music Director for the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys and was the Associate Music Director for the first U.S. National Tour of An Officer and a Gentleman (2021–2022). She recently held the role of Associate Conductor and Music Director for Beetlejuice the Musical on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (2025-2026)

 

In late 2025, Julia was the rehearsal pianist for the Broadway production of All Out: Comedy About Ambition, directed by Alex Timbers. She currently serves as Associate Conductor and Music Director for the Off-Broadway production of Gotta Dance at Stage 42 in New York City.
